Avoid applying Lawn King Pro immediately after heavy rain or over-watering, as the lawn may be saturated and result in loss of the beneficial Nitrogen (N) due to runoff.
Apply diluted Lawn King Pro directly to the lawn, as directed below.
Lawn King Pro comes in a concentrated solution. A minimum 5:1 dilution with water is necessary to avoid potentially damaging the lawn. We recommend applying Lawn King Pro at approximately a 20:1 dilution ratio with water. That is, for every quart of Lawn King Pro you will used added water to make approximately 5 gallons of diluted solution and for every gallon of Lawn King Pro concentrate you will add water to make approximately 20 gallons of diluted solution.
Using a hose end sprayer
We recommend a coarse or medium spray (fine spray is more difficult to control due to wind effects). A multi-purpose sprayer, such as the “Chameleon”, available here, should be set to 4 or 8 oz of Lawn King Pro per gallon of spray, providing a 32:1 or 16:1 ratio. A higher ratio gives you a longer spraying time and may make it easier to provide an even distribution of the Lawn King Pro over the planned area. With typical residential water pressure, you can expect to apply 1-gallon Lawn King Pro onto your lawn in approximately 5 minutes. We recommend that for first time users, you practice using your sprayer, spraying only water over a predetermined area until you are comfortable with the sprayer and its application rate.
Using a hand-held tank sprayer
We recommend a coarse or medium spray (fine spray is more difficult to control due to wind effects). Use Lawn King Pro at a 6:1 ratio or higher. Add 1 quart Lawn King Pro to 1½ gallons or more of water in a 2 gallon sprayer or larger. Use the sprayer as directed by the manufacturer.
Using a towable tank sprayer
We recommend a coarse or medium spray (fine spray is more difficult to control due to wind effects). Use Lawn King Pro at a 6:1 ratio or higher (up to 40:1 or more). A higher ratio usually makes for an easier, even distribution of the Lawn King Pro over the planned area. Use the sprayer as directed by the manufacturer.
